An Introduction of the Magnificent 7 (Military Version)

THEY WERE ALL FROM MOBILE AND PRICHARD AL. 

The 761st Tank Battalion also know as the “PATTON PANTHERS” was an independent tank battalion of the United States Army during World War II. The only all Black Combat team to fight under orders from General George S. Patton, and were asked to fight in the European Theater that spearheaded the assault into Berlin Germany, 1944. Join us at the Toulminville Library to celebrate these brave individuals.

We also screen the feature film Miracle at St. Anna (2008), (R. 2h 40m). Synopsis: Spike Lee directed this overlong epic chronicling the story of four members of the U.S. Army’s all-black “Buffalo Soldier” Division stationed in Italy during World War II. Derek Luke, Michael Ealy, Laz Alonso, Omar Benson Miller, Pierfrancesco Favino, Valentina Cervi.

This movie is rated R, ages under 17 requires accompany of a parent or adult guardian.
